Not so Down and Out in Paris

Not so down and out in Paris.

Traumatic experience fashion week. Takes about a week to unpack the emotional baggage. A week to refind ‘la forme”. Flashbacks. Cold Sweats. A positive, uplifting PTSD. Did that happen?

So hence we’re a week late to the recap party. But hey, good things come to those to wait. So. where to begin, as these things usually do with an email invitation from our dear friends at Vans to attend PFW in honour of a OTW Paris take over. Bold call. Taking over Paris is usually reserved for militaries of quite some strength. Our curiosity aroused, we duly boarded trains to our (adopted) nation’s great capital of light and a river so clean, it positively shimmers!

And what a week that was a blur of spritzes, pints, skating with our Euro and U.S. compatriots alike. An Atiba photo show, spanning the most incredible career –  the most beautiful dinners, and all round vibes.

And the shining star of the week, the OTW at Sacre Coeur. Which in all honesty was hard to put into words. A mix of the best wedding, event, festival, ‘happening’ imaginable. An aggressive free bar. Music by Kaytranada, French electro lord Busy P and Justice. Curren shutting down the bowl. The most dreamy of sunsets overlooking the entire city. This isn’t a take over –  it’s culture defining and we can’t thank our hosts at Vans enough for having us along to the best show in town.
